The concepts, ideas and principles of BSFT were expressly dedicated to the public domain.  That is, anyone can provide and use the concepts, ideas and principles underlying BSFT.  This is because Olga Hervis and Jose Szapocznik co-developed BSFT with the use of government grant money.  To qualify for such grant money, they were required to expressly dedicate the resulting works to the public. In fact, their dedication could not be more clear.  It’s on the first page of the Brief Strategic Family Therapy Training Manual.
